Pinktober 2025 - National Foods continued to drive well-being and female health awareness
During Pinktober 2025, National Foods reinforced its commitment to promoting well-being and advancing awareness around women’s health.
Throughout October, two critical areas were highlighted: Breast Cancer Awareness and World Mental Health Day. A breast cancer diagnosis is not only a physical challenge, but it also places a significant emotional and mental strain on patients and the loved ones who support them. In observance of World Mental Health Day, attention was drawn to this often-overlooked impact, particularly caregiver fatigue and emotional well-being.
For the first time, National Foods conducted dedicated awareness sessions for men, focusing on caregiver challenges and ways to support loved ones through a cancer journey. In parallel, tailored sessions for the Khatoon-e-Khaas community emphasized early detection, self-care, and preventive practices. In collaboration with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, National Foods employees across the business also participated in targeted awareness sessions addressing caregiver support for men and early detection and self-care for women.
National Foods’ CSR initiatives during Pinktober were aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 5, and 17, in collaboration with Pink Ribbon Pakistan. As part of these efforts, National Foods supported free biopsy services for patients to enable timely diagnosis, alongside digital awareness campaigns designed to extend outreach, share critical information, and encourage early detection and care-seeking behavior.
These initiatives reaffirm National Foods’ commitment to spreading knowledge, fostering support, and driving meaningful action to improve access to care.
